I’ve heard that air tools are slowly taking place of its counterpart the electric powered tools. Air tools are driven  by compressed air by a gas compressor. Air tools are also sometimes called pneumatic tools. This type of tool is cheaper, safer, smaller, lighter and easier to maintain than regular electric powered tools and yes…It can accomplish what regular tools can do. If only I use this type of tools I’d definitely switch to air tools. Just the fact that they’re safer and lighter is enough reason for me to make the switch.

I really hate it when it snows. I gets all wet and sticky outside and most of the time when snow starts to harden when it gets really cold, it becomes very slippery. There was a time when I really liked snow and was always excited about it. My husband used to tell me that when he was in California they used to drive up the mountains just to experience some snow. He also said that when driving up the mountains cars use tire chains so they don’t skid. It’s funny because I’ve never seen anything like that here in Chicago. It’s probably because there aren’t any mountains here. Anyhow, we don’t have to drive up any mountain because it always snows here. I can’t wait for spring and summer to come where the streets are clean and dry and we can play in the park all day.

**AUGUST**

1. Yuna’s birthday. We toured all of Chicago’s museums.A very fun and tiring day.
2. Illinois Senator Barack Obama accepts the nomination of the Democratic Party at the INVESCO Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado, becoming the first African American to be nominated by a major party for election as President of the United States
3. 2008 Beijing Olympics. USA = 110 medals. Philippines = 0. Mannn, I was hoping even for ust one bronze medal.
4. John McCain picks Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his vice-presidential running mate for the Republican nomination for the U.S. presidential election…Very entertaining.

**SEPTEMBER**

1. Yuna’s first day of school. Daddy and Mommy were very sad because they missed their little girl and they didn’t know what else to do while she was in school.
2. American actor and film director Paul Newman Dies at the age of 83

**OCTOBER**

1. After leading the league in offense, the Chicago Cubs are swept out of the playoffs by the LA Dodgers.

I prepared ready to cook ham. Again, I did not cook plenty of foods kasi naman apat lang kami unlike last year madami pa kami.

We ate at Luvski's work on New year's day. We didn't pay anything from our bill except for the 30 bucks tip we left for the server.

Manigong bagong taon sa lahat ng blogmates ko at sa buong mundo. Pati narin sa mga malapit na kaibigan ko online alam nyo na kung sino sino kayo. Salamat for sharing the friendship kahit na hindi pa tayo nagkikita sa totoong buhay.

Sa mga ka-berks ko sa Davao alam ko pinupuntahan nyo at binabasa blog ko kaya minsan nahihiya na ako magpost dito hihihihi. Salamat kaayu kay hangtud karon kaibigang tunay parin ang turingan natin. Hulata lang ang akong present para sa mga inaanak nako ha mga ka-berks isabay nako na sya pag naghulog nako para sa package ni buta. Unta maskig mga dato namo diha sa Davao managad gihapon ha kay matud pa ni buta kung dili managad panglaparuhon gyud lol. I-uban na pud nako sa pagbati ang akong pamilya na naa didto sa davao nagpuyo. Miss u all guys. lab u all mwahhh!

Ito naman po ang lahok para sa Litratong Pinoy na ang tema ay 2009 na!. Ang litratong ito kuha nong nakaraang bagong taon naman. Grabe noh ang bilis talaga ng panahon kelan ko lang din pinost ito dati. Ayun, ito ang pinili kong i-lahok kasi karamihan sa atin at sa buong mundo ganito ang itsura ng mga mesa nila. Punong puno ng ibat ibang klase ng pagkain. Yung iba naman sa ating mga pinoy may lechon pa sa gitna ng mesa hehehe.

Recently, we went downtown just to walk around and window shop. Most of the stores over there can also be found near my neighborhood so I didn’t really see any new stores. Anyway, there were a few stores that I was interested in like Levi’s, Nike, Crate & Barrel and Borders so we decided to go inside these stores just to look around. Once inside I noticed that the items being sold are no different from the once being sold in my neighborhood. These stores were also having a big after Christmas sale which made me very anxious. So, while looking around I noticed that the prices are different from the non-downtown stores. The prices in the downtown stores were still so much higher eventhough they were marked 50% off already. But even after all the high prices, there were still tons of people trying to get a bargain. I wasn’t dumb enough to purchase anything there instead I’ll go to stores near my apartment. Exactly the same thing in a much lower price.

How’s your Christmas guys? Mine went very well. We were all happy and we enjoyed the night together. This is one of the best Christmas I’ve ever had. As for our noche buena, we only had a roasted chicken and macaroni fruit salad. I didn’t make a lot of food coz I don’t want it to be wasted after the celebration. We opened the presents exactly at 12 midnight. The next day we went to my SIL’s place and we opened presents again, lots of presents from my sis Valerie. I got a new digital camera Kodak Easyshare C813, the pink one hehehe (I’ll post details about it in my gadget blog). It’s perfect for me coz it’s compact and lightweight. I can bring it wherever I go and I don’t need to bring my old bulky camera but I still love it. The old one is still perfect for photography purposes. Thank you so much sis Val for my new pink digital camera. I love it so much ehehehe. I also got a present from my dearest Luvski, a new portable external harddrive 250 GB. I don’t need to worry anymore about our laptop having not enough space. Yuna and Freya got a lot of stuff from Santa and her Aunt Valerie hihihi. I won’t talk about it here one by one coz it’s too many to mention LOL. Basta they got lots of pretty toys and clothes.

I want to thank God for all the blessing that He gave us even though we went through a lot of hardworks and trials. It’s part of life after all we still had the best Christmas and we had the best present, our cute little Freya. She is the best gift we had this year. She’s our lucky charm.

Yay! I know today is Christmas eve in the Philippines so my seasons greetings to all my friends who live there specially to my parents and siblings. So what are you gonna do on Christmas eve? I and my family will have a small gathering. I might cook some Filipino foods and deserts. I will ask my hubby first what he wants and it should be his favorite.  On the 25th day we might go out coz some of our friends here in the US invited us to eat out. So yeah, I’m kind of excited coz my daughter is excited to see what santa gave her this Christmas.

BTW, here’s my simple greetings to you all from Buk-buk, my pet in Pet Society hehehe. Maligayang Pasko! Merry Christmas!

Yuna’s winter vacation started last Friday and they will come back in school again on January 7. It’s good because we don’t need to wake up very early to bring and pick her up to school. It’s kind of tiring too. Since last Friday was their last school day for this month, they had a little Party. It’s not a Christmas party, I’m sorry I forget the name of the event but it has an initial of D.A.R.E , i just can’t remember the meaning of it. Yuna and I made frosted brownies as Christmas treats for her classmates. We made different designs on top of it. My first plan was to make a gingerbread brownie but I can’t find a cookie cutter that has a shape of a gingerbread. I ended up making our own designs. Yuna and Luvski helped make the brownies successful hehehe. It’s not really that nice, it’s my first time to make frosting so there’s actually nothing special on it. We went to the party so we saw that kids liked our brownies. They were very excited of what design they will get. I also wrapped presents for Yuna’s two teachers. BTW, Here’s some pictures to share…

So til here, I don’t know when I can update my blog again coz I might be very busy this week. BTW, I’m almost done buying Christmas presents. I think there’s two more presents to buy. Yay me! We’re gonna be broke after the holidays hahaha!
