Yuna had frostnip
This afternoon we went to Micro Center to look for a bluetooth headset speaker for our mp3 player and to buy some DVD+R and a DVD wallet, we also bought a gaming rocker chair from Target. While on the road, flurries started to fall from the sky and when we arrived on our targeted stores flurries turned into heavy snow. We were so excited to see the snow falling from the sky especially Yuna. She ran around the street trying to catch the snow hehehe. So when we got home, you know what we did? We played on the snow like children with our roommate Alfie, we threw snowball on each other and even if it snowed hard we still had the chance to take some pictures 
but after minutes of happy moments, just after we went in the building, Yuna cried so hard and screamed to death. Her hands were in pain and when I saw them they were so red and swelled a little. I warned her to stop picking up the snow and I even asked her if she’s cold but she just answered me with “No mom, I’m ok!” then she just ran again. She even laid on the snow so I just thought that she’s ok but still I’m worried that’s why I’ve decided to stop them and told them to go back in. So then, there’s nothing to worry about. She’s ok now after we warmed her hands. I think what Yuna encountered is frostnip, an initial stage of frostbite. I searched the internet right away to read the risk factors, symptoms, treatment and prevention on having a frostbite because I was so stupid to use a blower to warm Yuna’s hands and that made her cry so loud. Ayan ignorante kasi sa snow 
Well, at least now I know what I’m gonna do next time. By the way, here’s a little information from wiki and pictures of course (hover images for captions). Take note it’s our first snow together 
Frostbite is the medical condition whereby damage is caused to skin and other tissues due to extreme cold. At or below 0° C (32° F), blood vessels close to the skin start to narrow (constrict). This helps to preserve core body temperature. In extreme cold or when the body is exposed to cold for long periods, this protective strategy can reduce blood flow in some areas of the body to dangerously low levels. The combination of cold temperature and poor blood flow can cause severe tissue injury by freezing the tissue. Frostbite is most likely to happen in body parts farthest from the heart, and those with a lot of surface area exposed to cold. The initial stages of frostbite are sometimes called “frostnip”. la kasi dito sa pinas.. hahaha! kahit touch lng ng snow eh hindi ko pa naranasan.. huhuhu!

wow ang ganda naman may snow, hay di pa ako nakakakita ng snow swerte naman ni yuna pero sad naman at nagkaganyan cia, pero halata namang sobrang nag-enjoy siya. what a happy family.

awww at least Yuna’s okay now. i guess it was just the kid in her that’s why she can’t help but play around the snow kahit medyo nasasaktan na. ganyan din ako most of the time. hehehe. anywho, glad you enjoyed your first snow together! i wish ako rin one of these days.

aww, poor yuna… hope she’s ok. my dad always tells me about that, kasi dapat sa New york kami lilipat noon and he warned me about frostbite, kawawa naman ang sakit siguro pero nag enjoy sya sa snow ano, kakatuwa naman… sana more pics pa to come. God bless, ate scart!

naku. buti naman okay naman na si yuna at hindi lumala yung pagseswell nung hands nyo due to the wintry season. but then again, talagang ganoon mga bata ano? lalo na pag snow.^^
parang ako, i have been wishing to experience snow kahit isang beses sa buhay ko! haha.

hi ate scart, kamusta naman ang first snow nyo jan.
Mabuti at ok na si Yuna, nakakatakot, you mean malapit na syang magka frostbite? buti naagapan, anyway, naalala ko sa star city, dabi may malamig dun na puno ng ice? nakapunta ka na ba dun ate scart? siguro naman oo diba? hehe, well, ako kasi parang naranasan ko na yung “frostnip”, pumasok kami dun ng walang jacket, kasi nung time na yun december madaming tao eh naubusan na kami ng jacket nun, kaya ang ginawa namin, pumasok kami tapos meron dun na parang igloo na mahaba, as in mahaba talaga sya, pumasok kami dun, pilapila pa kami parang tren unang-una pa ako, tapos dead end pala yun, akala ko may lulusutan ako, eh ako yung unang-una, nangangatog na ako, tapos feeling ko, manhid na buong katawan ko baka ako nakalabas dun sa cave na yun, yung tenga ko, hindi ko na mahawakan kasi ang sakit, feeling ko mapuputol na sya, at yung kamay ko, mas masakit nung nainitan talaga, feeling ko magang maga na sya, weh, hehe.. grabeng experience din yun.
oh sya ate scart, nag kwento pa ako noh? hehe. mwuahh
